Exams

Uhhhh these past few weeks i have been revising so much i have hardly been on the Internet at all, so I'm sorry i haven't blogged but i figured i would fill you in.

I have taken my music exam which I'm pretty sure i haven't done amazing on, i mean what is an Irish lament, and what does that have to do with a Scottish Gaelic song, i don't know?

I have also taken my R.E (religious education) exam and i think i have done okay on that.

I have only taken those two so far but that does still leave 11 to revise for, although I'm gonna try to make sure i have a bit of time to do the things i enjoy, like my blog.

College

Well i have been accepted into the college that I wanted to go to, as long as I get the grades that is. I guess its good news, im growing up, I have reached the point where im choosing to learn, year 12.

Also I get to stay with most of my best friends, and most of the people I dont like will leave to go to another college or to find work, and finally I get to wear my own clothes instead of uniform!

Plus because of the subjects I've chosen (Maths, Futher Maths, Physics and Economics) I will actually be doing work that i enjoy, no more P.E.

Just a few more months of exams and then college.

I guessed i should do a blog to honour the fact that someone is actually reading this blog so HI, thank you and make sure you give me feedback. :D

Also i thought i would talk a little about procrastination since i have had two weeks off school and have been doing it from the beginning. I was given about four hours worth of homework, and three of those were English, which i don't mind English but three hours of it!

So on my first day i told myself i would get all of my homework out of the way. What i actually managed was to design an exam timetable, organise all of my school work into subjects and to clean my room. Yes it sounds like a lot but when you think about what my actually goal for the day was, i did nothing.

Yesterday was the start of my second week off and it has taken until today to make a start on that homework, one hour down, three to go and i have a really busy week anyway, ohhh well.

Covert Channel Exploit in ICMP Packet!?

Well the last few days have been difficult. I tried to log into my Hotmail the other day but was told that my account had been blocked for sending spam, then an alert came up from my security telling me that a "covert channel exploit" had been detected. Well that was a worry, i got the feeling i had been hacked straight away.

After long conversations with my family and a lot of interrogating about what websites i have been going to, we decided it would be best to take the computer to an expert, but first my mum thought she would try googling the problem, which i thought was a total waste of time but i was in trouble and not about to argue.

Well here comes the morel, the Internet told my mum that this is a standard problem with our security, and that with a few simple steps we could solve the problem, and then we did. Whatever you do, if you find a problem with your computer, don't make the first thing you do to tell your parents all of the websites you have recently visited that you think might be dodgy, don't make your first idea to go and pay a lot of money when it may be something you can sort, and last but not last your mum is always right, listen to what she says.
